This is Jack -- Adopted! --

Updated: Jan 30, 2019

Jack was one in a litter of three puppies born to a homeless mother by a riverbed. She found shelter for herself and her puppies under a nearby bridge where a rescue would bring food for her daily.

One night, Jack's mother witnessed two of her puppies being hit and killed by passing cars. She cried all night, prompting neighboring residents to complain. The rescue returned and decided to take her and her remaining puppy, Jack.

Jack was soon adopted locally, and his mother found her forever home in Canada.

Several months later, a stray puppy was reported running loose around the same bridge where Jack and his mother had been rescued. The rescue returned to the location only to realize that it was indeed Jack who had been abandoned by the people who had adopted him; the likely reason being that he was not vicious enough to fulfill their expectations of being a guard dog.

Jack is 5 1/2 months old, and weighs 22 lbs. He is friendly with people, and good with children. He walks well on leash, and does not fight for food.
